That version of Stella is awesome! That was the first show I ever collected on cassette, 7-18-76.
The songs that sealed the deal for me were the single of Uncle John's Band from Workingman's Dead in 1970 and the album Live Dead, especially Dark Star>St. Stephen!

I never fail to get mesmerized by EYES from 10/29/77

I know the whole 13+ minutes by heart at this point but each instrumental bridge jam Jerry leads still makes me gasp in awe. It's a little fantastical, the effect it has on me. Just when you think he can't possibly find another gear/develop another idea/reach another crescendo, he does. And the rest of the band is just able to keep up, pushing the jam along like a caboose making sure the main engine doesn't falter.

The crash-down into the final lyrical verse leaves this perfect pregnant pause before Jerry starts to sing...giving the crowd just enough time to pick their brains off the floor and finally breathe again.

Musical bliss, every time.
